Many of DDI's programs have received special certifications to meet organization- and learner-specific needs. Here are just a few.
The ASTD (American Society for Training & Development) Certification Institute has awarded its prestigious E-Learning Courseware Certification (ECC) to DDI's entire library of web-based courseware. This library includes Targeted Selection® and 24 leadership and workforce development courses from Interaction Management® and Techniques for a High-Performance Workforce®. The certification was granted to DDI's library after a rigorous evaluation of the courses' usability and instructional design. The certification indicates that our web-based courseware demonstrates the characteristics associated with excellent instruction.
DDI recently received certification from the HR-XML consortium. This certification places DDI among the few elite technology organizations that have received this certification from HR-XML. Other HR-XML-certified companies include our partners PeopleSoft, Taleo (formerly Recruitsoft), HireRight and HireCheck. HR-XML certification validates that DDI clients are receiving industry-leading support in Selection and Assessment and ensures that DDI's solutions can be integrated more easily and cost effectively.
HR-XML certification validates DDI's proper use of the HR-XML data standards, in our Assessment Management Suite (AMS). This Suite includes Web-ScreenTM, Web-Test, Assessing TalentSM applications, as well as our Assessment Management backbone for tracking, scoring, reporting and transferring critical candidate and participant information.
The HR-XML (www.hr-xml.org) is an independent non-profit organization, supported by its members, dedicated to the development and promotion of standardized XML data definitions for HR, including definitions for resumes, jobs, competencies and assessment data.
The Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) is the leading independent, internationally recognized certifying body for the HR profession, and is the credentialing affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest association devoted to professional human resource management. HRCI works to define and maintain the HR body of knowledge, and offers assessments and certification of this knowledge. Human Resource certification demonstrates mastery of the HR body of knowledge and is widely accepted as a symbol of professional achievement. HRCI certifications require professionals to demonstrate their expertise in the core principles of HR practice and the application of those principles.
HRCI administers the certifications of PHR (Professional in Human Resources), SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) and GPHR (Global Professional in Human Resources). The PHR is more focused on the technical/operational aspects of HR whereas the SPHR is more focused on strategic HR and policy issues. The newest certification, GPHR is for professionals whose responsibilities include developing and implementing global HR strategies, managing operations overseas and international assignment management.
DDI was first certified as a provider whose services can qualify towards those earning the above certifications in February 2004. Our latest certification is in effect until December 2010. Please let your clients know that their DDI training can count toward the HRCI certification.

Investors in People (IIP) has renewed its accreditation of DDI's United Kingdom office. Audited every 3 years, this nationally-recognized IIP provides a practical framework for improving business performance and competitiveness through good practices in human resource development. As part of the review process interviews are conducted by an IIP assessor with associates and members of the management team.
